LHU ADLEY Team Officially Joins Cintana Global Competition 2025

April 29, 2025, marked a significant milestone for Lac Hong University (LHU) as the LHU Adley team was announced as the university's sole representative at the Cintana Global Competition 2025 finals. The competition will take place at Arizona State University (ASU) in the United States this summer, bringing together outstanding teams from around the world to find innovative solutions to global sustainable development challenges.
The SignTrans Project: A Bridge for Sign Language
The LHU Adley team's SignTrans project is a highly praised technological product for its innovation, practical applicability, and social significance. It is an integrated platform that uses AI and Computer Vision technology to assist deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals in daily communication.
Specifically, SignTrans can recognize and convert Vietnamese Sign Language (VSL) into text or audio in real time. The platform also provides an interactive sign language library to help users learn and communicate more effectively. Another notable feature is its ability to build a supportive community network, connecting deaf individuals with people and organizations dedicated to improving their quality of life.
The project was developed with the aim of aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly the goal of reducing inequality and creating equal opportunities for all members of society.
