LHU expands students' global integration through the INTENSE Chinese Language Program, Session 3

The opening ceremony of the INTENSE Chinese Language Course, Session 3, was held on the afternoon of March 5, 2026, at Hall A301, Campus 1, marking a further step in enhancing LHU students’ Chinese proficiency and international integration opportunities.

The event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lam Thanh Hien, Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh, Vice Rector; Dr. Pham Van Toan, Dean of the Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics; Mr. Le Duc Thinh, M.A., Dean of the Faculty of English Language; and Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Thuong, M.A., Vice Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, along with staff, faculty members, and 62 students participating in the program.

Representatives from partner institutions included Mr. Lin Wei-Chih, Head of the Education Division, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Feng-Chi Hung, CEO of the INTENSE Program at Kun Shan University; Ms. Wu Yi Fang, Deputy Head of the International Office at Kun Shan University; and Ms. Phan Nguyen Thi Diem My, Project Officer for the INTENSE Program.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Lin, Wei-Chih - Mr. Lin Wei-Chih, Head of the Education Division, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in HCM City shared valuable insights into the potential for Vietnam-Taiwan educational cooperation, while encouraging students to actively pursue their studies and enhance their foreign language proficiency to seize opportunities for learning and working in international environments.

The INTENSE Chinese Language Program is designed with a structured training pathway that enables students to develop their Chinese proficiency progressively, aiming toward internationally recognized Chinese language proficiency standards. Through the course, students improve their language skills while gaining a broader understanding of international culture and working environments. In particular, the program aims to enhance students’ competitive advantages in high-demand fields such as semiconductors, STEM, and finance - sectors in which many Taiwanese enterprises are investing in Vietnam.

The opening ceremony of the INTENSE Chinese Language Program, Session 3, marks the beginning of a new course and reaffirms LHU’s commitment to internationalizing its education, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources and expanding opportunities for students in the context of global integration.
